Pavel, one of Croatia’s most beloved pop bands, will kick off the summer concert season at Barone Fortress on June 14th!
Formed in 2007, Pavel originally began as a solo project by Aljoša Šerić, then the lead singer of the band Ramirez. Thanks to the contributions of musicians collaborating on the first album, Pavel quickly evolved into a full-fledged band and released their self-titled debut that same year. The group soon gained recognition for their emotional lyrics and acoustic-driven sound, with songs like “Morska” and the duet “Ako si za, mogli bi jednom izaći” becoming well-known hits.
Over the years, Pavel has become one of the most respected pop acts in Croatia. Their albums and singles are regularly nominated for, and awarded with, Porin awards. Among their biggest successes is the hit “Čuvaj me” featuring Antonia Matković Šerić, which became the most-played song in the country and earned the band a Porin for Best Arrangement. Their 2020 album “Ennui” won an impressive four Porin awards, including Album of the Year.
Alongside Aljoša Šerić and the talented Antonia Matković Šerić, the Barone Fortress stage will also feature what Aljoša calls “the heroes of Pavel’s street” – seasoned musicians Jurica Hotko (keyboards), Toni Tkalec (guitar), Dean Melki (violin), Stipe B. Mađor (trumpet), Filip Hrelja (drums), and Josip Radić (bass). The concert starts at 9 PM.
Tickets are available for €25 online and at the box office of the House of Arts Arsen. Members of the Friends Club receive a 30% discount at the box office with a valid membership card.
