At Šibenik’s New Year’s Eve celebration, alongside the legendary Morcheeba performing near St. James’s Cathedral, Matija Cvek and his band The Funkensteins will take the stage at the second venue in Robert Visiani Park.
Cvek, one of the most exciting names on the Croatian pop music scene, has released two highly successful original albums: Izbirljivo i slučajno and Vile se ovdje igraju. He began his music career with the hit single Visine, followed by pop-funk hits like Praviš me ludim and Ptice, the latter winning the Zagreb Festival in 2021 and earning him two Porin awards – for Best Pop Album (Izbirljivo i slučajno) and Best Male Vocal Performance.
With his band The Funkensteins, Cvek blends soul, pop, and funk in sold-out concerts across Croatia, and they’re preparing an unforgettable New Year’s Eve for the Šibenik audience. After their performance, the party continues with DJ duo Djobi Djoba.
The New Year’s Eve celebration in Šibenik is organized by the Šibenik Fortress of Culture, with support from the City of Šibenik and the Šibenik Tourist Board.
