Marko Tolja, singer, songwriter, and passionate lover of swing music, will perform on August 21 at the Barone Jazz Festival.
Known as the "Croatian Frank Sinatra," Tolja first made a name for himself with his acclaimed debut album Stare dobre stvari. His distinctive voice quickly established him as one of the most versatile artists on the Croatian music scene, seamlessly blending pop, jazz, and swing. His success is backed by numerous awards and multiple Porin wins.
Audiences were particularly impressed by his collaboration with the HRT Jazz Orchestra on the album Stavi pravu stvar, where he gave a retro twist to modern hits. His album Tišina – Love Collection features a selection of heartfelt songs such as “Sve što nisam ja,” “Tišina,” and “Zaplesale su sjene,” all of which resonated deeply with listeners.
Tolja will take the stage at Barone Jazz Festival accompanied by a top-notch band: Ivan Pešut on guitar, Nino Krznar on bass, Branimir Gazdik on drums, and Ivan Popeskić on keyboards.
