As part of this year’s Barone Jazz Festival, on August 3rd, the stage at the fortress will welcome the Marko Ramljak Band, led by one of Croatia’s most prominent violinists and multi-instrumentalists. Šibenik native Marko Ramljak has been building a rich musical career for over three decades – as a soloist, composer, and long-time member of Gibonni’s band, as well as through numerous collaborations with renowned regional and international artists such as Vlatko Stefanovski, Matija Dedić, Elvis Stanić, Theodosii Spassov, and many others.
He has shaped his original sound through a blend of jazz, soul, fusion, and world music, and arrives at Barone Jazz Festival with a band of top-notch musicians – Branimir Gazdik, Vedran Ružić and Maasej Kovačević – performing music from his albums, including his latest release, “Liberation” (2024).
Marko Ramljak is a five-time winner of the Croatian Musicians Union’s “Status” award for best instrumental performance in pop, rock, and jazz categories. The concert on August 3rd at Barone Fortress offers a unique opportunity to experience his authentic sound – sophisticated, emotional, and energetic – in an atmosphere that gives jazz music a special glow.

Tickets for the concert are available at a price of 15 euros, online and at the box office of the House of Art Arsen. Members of the Friends Club receive a 30% discount at the box office upon presenting a valid membership card.
