ŠPD Kolo & HRM Orchestra
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Vice Vukov, one of Croatia’s greatest musicians, his hometown Šibenik will on June 19 become the stage for a homage concert that will remind audiences of the richness of Vico’s musical talent.
Under the title “The Bells of My City – Concert on the 90th Anniversary of the Birth of Vice Vukov”, the event at St. Michael’s Fortress is dedicated to the artist whose voice carried the warmth of the Mediterranean and whose songs marked generations.
The program features the Šibenik Singing Society Kolo and the Orchestra of the Croatian Navy, who will, through lavish arrangements signed by Olja Dešić and maestro Tonći Ćićerić, revive the rich repertoire of Vice Vukov. Performing as soloists are Marko Tolja, Đani Stipaničev, and the winner of The Voice Kids Croatia, Nikol Kutnjak. Special guests of the evening will be members of PHPD Zora.
The audience will once again have the opportunity to feel the power and emotion of timeless songs that shaped Croatian music history. The program’s title symbolically evokes the bells of Šibenik, the city that shaped Vice and to which he forever belonged.
It will be an evening filled with emotion, pride, and gratitude — an evening in which Šibenik will once again embrace its Vico.
