The Stranglers, one of the most appreciated and influential British bands is coming to Šibenik on August 21st. Their world tour has lead them to numerous worldwide stages and amongst them is the one at St. Michael's Fortress.
Formed in the mid-seventies, The Stranglers have released three albums at the very beginning of their career. In the short 13 months, songs like Peaches and No More Heroes became hit singles. Engaged, eloquent and suggestive lyrics with melodic compositions complemented by an aggressive, uncompromising and rebellious attitude made them unique on the scene. With a highly original sound, The Stranglers are now recognized as one of the most credible and influential bands to have emerged from the punk era.
In over forty years career they released 17 albums but became known worldwide by singles Always The Sun and Golden Brown. Currently on the world tour marked by numerous sold-out performances, they manage to work on a new album. The audience on the most beautiful stage of the Adriatic will surely enjoy the music talent and the timeless quality of their songs.
