Inclusive tours of all four fortresses, a fashion show by persons with disabilities and a BluVinil concert - two days of numerous free programmes for all generations are being prepared for Šibenik’s Night of Fortresses.
Registrations for most programme activities with a limited number of participants open on 20 April. These include inclusive guided tours at the fortresses and sunset yoga sessions. You can register in person at the Arsen House of Arts, by calling +385 91 619 6009, or by emailing info@kucaarsen.hr.
Registrations for the children’s overnight stay at St. John’s Fortress will open in a week’s time. Applications will be accepted from 28 April at 12:00 PM via a Google form that will be available on the Facebook pages of PEU Stribor and St. John’s Fortress.
Tickets for the BluVinil concert at Barone Fortress will be available from 27 April at the Arsen House of Arts box office. Each person may collect up to two tickets.
At the heart of this year’s programme is the initiative “Fortresses Tear Down Walls”, through which the Public Institution Fortress of Culture Šibenik continues its collaboration with the Public Institution Nature of Šibenik-Knin County. This initiative connects all four Šibenik fortresses into a single, unique inclusive experience.
In addition to inclusive programmes, visitors can look forward to a wide range of other activities – from children’s workshops and guided tours to nature-based activities and evening events. A special segment of the programme takes place at St. Nicholas’ Fortress, in the St. Anthony’s Channel Visitor Centre and along the channel promenade, where natural and cultural heritage meet in a distinctive setting.
All details regarding registration procedures and deadlines for individual programme activities are available on the official event website, so be sure to check the programme and plan your visit to the Night of Fortresses.
It is worth recalling that Night of Fortresses Goes Green is part of two EU-funded projects implemented by the Public Institution Fortress of Culture Šibenik:
GIFTSnet – Network for Green and Inclusive Fortified Tourism Solutions, funded by the Interreg IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027 programme and FORTIC – From Remains Of War to the Architecture of Peace in the Italy–Croatia Cross-Border Area, funded through Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021–2027
