He had not appeared under the spotlight for 13 years. And then he stepped onto the stage at St. Michael’s Fortress and, with an extraordinary concert, opened the 13th season of Šibenik’s summer stage. Even the rain at the very beginning added a special charm to the atmosphere — Luky never left the stage, and the audience never moved from their seats. Beneath umbrellas, everyone enjoyed the return of this exceptional singer-songwriter, accompanied by an excellent backing band made up entirely of musicians from Korčula.
From the very first songs, the timeless connection between the performer and the audience could be felt. A true explosion of emotions took place — moments like this are rare, Luky said emotionally at the end of the concert.
“When you feel that the emotion you carried within yourself while creating a song, when that frequency inside you begins to vibrate within the audience, and when you see that resonance has been created — that the emotion resonates with every single person you look at in the crowd, when you see those radiant faces and realize that the audience truly felt your emotion — it is something indescribable! When you manage to transfer something from deep inside yourself to another person, and they truly feel it — that is the greatest achievement a human being can reach. And when you see so many people sharing the very same emotion as you, it is something that must move you to the deepest core of your being. That is why concerts like tonight’s at St. Michael’s Fortress are rare, and I hope the audience went home with hearts full of love and positive emotions,” said an deeply moved Luky as he summed up impressions from his comeback concert.
And the audience showed that they had not forgotten this remarkable musician and his songs — after three hours of music and two encores, they could barely let him leave the stage.
Luky’s concert opened the concert season at St. Michael’s Fortress in the best possible way, and the good atmosphere continued after the show with DJ PaleolitiK performing beneath the stands.
