This year's nominees for the Grammy in Best New Artist category, American soul sensation - Black Pumas are coming to St. Michael's Fortress, Šibenik! Are you ready for duo's premiere show in Croatia? Cause they surely are!
The Austin based band, for whom critics predict a great future, was founded in 2018 when the spark happend on the first encounter between Eric Burton and Adrian Quesada.
During their initial studio gig, Adrian and Eric recorded their first singles – Black Moon Rising and Fire, in one day alone. Shortly after that, they formed Black Pumas, who gained huge popularity in Austin. The proof was the Band of the Year award they won in 2019 at the prestigious Austin Music Awards ceremony. Burton quickly presented some of his own songs that additionally refined the band with different music influences.
One of those songs was Colors which Eric wrote on a sunny afternoon on the roof of his uncle's house. The song went viral and today has over 34 million streams. With it, Black Pumas started this year as nominees for the Grammy award in Best New Artist category and presented themselves on TV shows worldwide, from Ellen to Jimmy Fallon.
In a packed and carefully arranged schedule for European 2021 tour, St. Michael's Fortress found it's place in a company of much bigger European capitals.
