By performing the musical programme Acoustic World Music Experience the Nina Kraljić Quartet will take the audience at Barone Fortress on a mystical musical journey, on September 9th, starting from 9.30 PM.
Her live concerts are simple and effective, mostly because of the vocal and musical improvisations which make every performance unique. Alongside guitarist Miro Gugić, percussionist Mark Štruman and cellist Matej Milošev, Nina always provides new musical experience, especially on an intimate stage as the one at Barone Fortress. The only limit of this journey through various musical genres will be the starry sky above the fortress.
As in many evenings before, Barone Fortress offers the another side of the summer nights – B Side – filled with music and artistic performances, paired with irresistible tastes of Barone's gastro-cultural centre. The entrance is free for Friends Club members and visitors with valid daily ticket.
The mighty vocal of one of the few members of the younger musicians who perform world music on Croatian music scene has become more familiar after Nina won the Croatian edition of The Voice. Soon, in September 2016, she released “Zaljuljali smo svijet”, the first single from debut album Samo, which was critically acclaimed. Afterwards she won the prestigious Croatian music award Porin for the best young artist of the year which led to her representing Croatia on Eurovision with her song Lighthouse.
Nina’s debut album has shown that she is the well needed refreshment on music scene. By mixing different musical genres – from traditional Croatian music to well-known movie soundtracks – she creates her own style of performance, especially in covers of traditional ethno songs. On the other hand, the arrangements of her own songs are simple, mostly accompanied by piano only.
