Tribute to The Purple One: Echoes Of Prince
One of the world’s most exciting live tributes to Prince, marking the 10th anniversary of the passing of this versatile musical icon, is coming to the stage of St. Michael’s Fortress on August 13, performed by the musical collective Tribute to The Purple One: Echoes Of Prince.
The Tribute to The Purple One: Echoes Of Prince project, led by a top-tier Parisian funk collective, brings together elite musicians who, with remarkable precision and passion, revive Prince’s unmistakable groove, vocal expression, and stage charisma. Their performances go beyond a standard tribute – they offer an authentic concert experience that transports audiences straight back to the golden age of funk, soul, and pop.
Over the past few years, the band has built a strong international reputation, collaborating and performing with legendary artists such as Howard Johnson, Junior Giscombe, and Stevie Arrington, further confirming their authenticity and quality on the European scene.
Audiences at the fortress can expect a powerful selection of Prince’s greatest hits – from When Doves Cry, I Would Die 4 U, and Purple Rain to lesser-known songs and hidden gems from a rich catalogue that has left an indelible mark on music history.
The Purple One – Echoes of Prince therefore transcends the classic concert format, becoming a true musical celebration. This evening dedicated to the great artist Prince is jointly presented by Tvrđava kulture Šibenik, Peti Kupe, and CMA Promotions – the organizers behind last year’s music spectacle, the concert by Kyoto Jazz Massive and the Echoes of a New Dawn Orchestra.
