Borna Pehar Quartet
Pianist, composer and producer Borna Pehar will present his original project “Timezone” on July 3 at Barone Fortress as part of the Barone Jazz Festival, together with three outstanding musicians. The programme is built on improvisation, diverse musical influences, and an open approach to creation, resulting in a distinctive and dynamic concert experience.
Joined by Austrian musicians Michale Marginter on tenor saxophone and Michael Acker on bass guitar, as well as Brazilian drummer Matheus Jardim, Pehar will perform his debut album “Timezone” at Barone, where the shared Vienna connection brings this international ensemble together.
The album “Timezone” features nine instrumental compositions that explore improvisation and the idea that music transcends both time and space. The diverse cultural backgrounds of the ensemble members merge into a unified sound, creating a musical landscape where different influences and experiences intersect.
