Big Band Šibenik

Big Band Šibenik, a city orchestra that began its activity in 2022, will perform at Barone Fortress on July 12 as part of the Barone Jazz Festival.

Under the direction of artistic leader Željko Andrić, the musicians will bring an evening of top-quality jazz, funk and pop music to Barone, featuring energetic brass arrangements and a recognizable big band sound. The audience can expect an attractive programme composed of well-known global hits and jazz classics, performed by Šibenik musicians and guest artists. The repertoire includes arrangements of music by major artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Chaka Khan, the Crusaders and others.

Depending on the occasion, the orchestra brings together around twenty Šibenik-based musicians, featuring trumpet, saxophone, trombone, flute, drums, keyboards, bass and electric guitar, along with vocalist Danijela Prpić.

“In addition to arrangements of pop and rock music, the audience can look forward to an evening filled with rhythm, improvisation and a great atmosphere,” say members of Big Band Šibenik.

Tickets priced at €13 are available online and at the box office of the House of Arts Arsen. Members of the Friends Club receive a 30% discount when purchasing at the box office upon presentation of a valid membership card.
